    yes Bill,
May 3rd 1976, FA Cup final win against the mighty Man Utd., & May 1985 second in the old 1st. division behind Liverpool.
My fear now is when we go up, will we lose NA to a 'bigger' team?
I've thought about this a lot and understand your concerns. But he'd only go to Liverpool and I don't think any of the big boys would have the guts to appoint someone without European experience. If I'm wrong then we say thanks for the best years we've had in a generation and wish him well, just like the Scunthorpe fans did. There is, to quote Star Wars, always a bigger fish."

Lambert treble fires Saints back to top spot

First published in Sport

Rickie Lambert bagged his third hat-trick of the season to fire Saints back to the top of the Championship table.

The prolific striker scored twice in the space of ten first half minutes before rounding off a 3-0 win at Watford from the penalty spot.

With West Ham only drawing at home to Crystal Palace, the result saw Saints climb back to the league summit on a day when Birmingham also lost at home to relegation threatened Nottingham Forest.
