Saints defender steps up comeback
7:10am Tuesday 27th March 2012 in Sport
DAN SEABORNE
Dan Seaborne is set take another step on the road back towards a first-team return today.
The Saints defender is due to start for the under-21 side in their match with Brighton at Staplewood this afternoon.
It will be the centre half’s third appearance this month for what effectively doubles as the reserve team.
Seaborne is working his way back from a serious head injury that has kept him out since the start of September.
The 25-year-old has been training with the first team for the last few weeks and will have a chance to further sharpen his game and increase his match fitness today.

Well done Dan - but dont think you will be a Saints player next season if we promote

A Championship mid table club or an ambitious League 1 club for me.

Can anyone tell me if after promotion we would be obliged to field a reserve team next year. I hope we do as its a better way of bringing players back from injury and of blooding youngsters.
Meanwhile, another good win on saturday and we are almost there, 3-1 me thinks.
Lots of great postings by the way, wish I was as creative.

To be honest we haven't seen enough of him at this level to truely judge. I didn't think Hammond would step up but he performs his role when called upon very well indeed. Barnard was the other one who i didn't think would step up and I still don't know as he's not had a chance to show us.

But onto matters of significance-namely MY SAINTS.
Some Saints fans still don't get it, full of negativity and ever the arch-critics, never giving their own more than 7/10. You won't hear Kelvin or Barty slagging each other off, or Sharpy moaning that he's better than anyone insitu, or Nigel blaming anyone else. It's because they're a team, with team-spirit and an inspirational leader. I wish we could lose the moaning minnies, but unfortunately they will thrive in the promised Prem land-just listen to those bar-room and couch-potato ManU and Chelski ites -know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

lowe esteem wrote:That wasn't moaning. That was more a discussion or a debate about whether Seaborne is good enough, it has absolutely nothing to do with getting behind the team. Discussing our opinions on our team is a part of being a football...it's also pretty much the only point of an internet forum.

You're the one who's moaning and whinging.
Personally, I thought Seaborne wasn't good enough for us in League One.
If he can prove he's good enough for us, then he'll prove it.
Saints to win 3-1
