6 points needed for a return to the promised land
Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not btw) but I think that's less that the skates need to survive relegation!! :-)
F**k The Skates, all we care about on this site is Saints, only one Team in Hampshire, Prem here we come
I was trying to start a bit of light hearted banter. Thanks for shooting me down.

Please correct yourself. All YOU care about on this site is saints. Please don't profess to be the spokesperson for everyone else's opinion on here.

I care what happens to the skates. Them going down as we go up will be the icing on the cake for me!!
with yoiu there swissowned ........ the skates going down whilst we go up would be the icing on the cake for me and most others too .... COYR and FOADP !!!!!
On this Site it is Daily Echo SOUTHAMPTON, not Portsmouth News, so why do the Skates keep coming on this site to try and give grief?? especially Whitelines, now just hurry up and die Portsmouth, you would not let a dog suffer like this, so don,t let the Fishes suffer
lol , no hard feelings ........ i love to see them sufffer as it happens , although it is dragging on a bit now !
Thank F***K for that only 2 weeks till we say good bye to them for good

Hammers hang on with a point

Nigel Adkins - waiting game

Nigel Adkins - waiting game

First published in Sport

Ricardo Vaz Te’s dramatic penalty leveller for West Ham tonight ensured Saints will have to wait a bit longer to celebrate promotion.

Vaz Te converted an 89th minute spot-kick to give the Hammers a 3-3 draw at home to Birmingham – after they had trailed 3-1 with 20 minutes left.

Had West Ham lost to the Blues, Saints would have moved 10 points ahead of them by beating Reading at St Mary’s on Friday night.

Nigel Adkins’ men would then be celebrating promotion had the Hammers then lost at home to Brighton the following day.

As it is, even if Saints beat Reading and West Ham lose to Brighton, Saints will be nine points ahead of the Hammers with three games left - and boasting a superior goal difference.

But mathematically, they would not be assured of promotion prior to next Tuesday’s visit to Peterborough.

The best Palace v Saints coverage is in tomorrow’s Daily Echo.
