Lambert, Lee, Lallana, Puncheon and Chaplow are the only prem quality players we have IMO. Our defence will struggle if we don't get 2 new full-backs. From what I've seen Jos and Fonte make too many mistakes, if they can improve in the summer maybe they'll do ok.

Guly's game can be infuriating at times but IMO he's been a player who is playing for the team. He's a central attacking midfielder and so far, that's the only position he hasn't played yet: he's not a striker and he's not a winger.

His main issue is that he gets very frustrated (either with himself or with other players) very easily, and then his game goes down. And I agree that he needs to sort that out.

Yesterday at Palace, he was venting in the end with BS. They had a chance at doing a fast 1-2 which would put Guly in front of the goal but BS held the ball, went a few steps away from the goal and tried a shot that went wide.

We have two players who can play in attacking central midfield: Guly and Puncheon. Let them roam free behind the striker (and I mean one striker), feeding balls to the wingers and/or strikers, and making runs through channels. We're missing this sort of player and IMO, this is why sometimes we can't break down teams that park the bus at their end.

But our whole season has been built on playing two holding players in central midfield. Any two from Cork, Hammond and Spiderman.

They all break up play and then get us moving forward, sideways or backwards, (tackle, intercept and pass). They are the continuity players who are essential to our strategy of retaining possession of the football.

Guly and Puncheon behind one striker don't fit into that pattern. If we adopted that approach our possession percentage would drop and our defence would be under pressure from counter attacks, plus we would only have one striker to put the ball in the net.

Guly and Puncheon don't play continuity football or chase back enough or close down enough to allow us to play like that. we would be vulnerable down the lines from the opposing full backs and wide mid fielders.

After all we are top of the league with central mid fielders who don't get forward very much and score goals. A number of teams play like that in the prem and hopefully that is where we are going.

At the very least, why don't we just enjoy promotion with the team that got it for us before we start dismantling the team.

It’s not about dismantling, it’s just my opinion. Our back up goalie umm, Buttercup is a limited player at this level, Banyard runs around with his eyes stuck in the headlights, others are on loan and not being played, which equals cost and overhead. Let’s not beat about the bush, the Prem is fast, skilful and hard. You may only get a few chances a game and although we have been brilliant at this level and many of the existing squad will adapt, other will cost us dearly. The top half of the table will be very tough and the others kick, butt and scrap something we do not do well. We will be marked harder and closer. We do not have unlimited budgets so we need to be prudent. I would have possibly changed the team more this year, but hey what do I know. Norwich and Swansea have shown us the way, so you don’t need to totally rip and replace. We will need more pace and tougher in the tackle.
