  • "Big Fat Sam will get the sack after failing to make the play play off final. Our dear friends in Brighton will win the play offs and give our respective fans a cheap day out in the South, We will all be cheering them on like good mates when they play the Mancs and Scousers etc.. None of us will ever call them naughty names again and we'll buy Brighton fans drinks when we meet them... all they have to do is Beat Reading and Beat Wetsham... I'm a Brighton Fan ... well for a bit anyway :)"

Allardyce: we need a favour from Saints

First published in Sport

West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has all but given up on the Championship title after a dramatic comeback against Birmingham earned his side a sixth draw in seven home matches.

Ricardo Vaz Te rescued a point for the Hammers, who were 3-1 down at half-time, with an 89th minute penalty.

But leaders Saints are now six points clear of the third-placed Irons with four games to go.

And Allardyce knows he needs the table-toppers to do his men a big favour by beating Reading at St Mary’s this Friday.
