Rose loses ground on leaders at Wentworth

JUSTIN Rose will go into the third round of the BMW PGA Championship six shots off the lead.
The Hampshire star picked up one shot at Wentworth today to move to six-under-par at the halfway stage of the tournament.
Rose, who nearly had to pull out before the start of the event after suffering a dizzy spell, had begun the day just one behind the leaders.
But fellow Englishman James Morrison produced a stunning eight-under-par 64 this morning to move to the head of the field at 12-under.
With the wind having picked up throughout the day, there is little chance of anyone bettering that score by the close of play.
Birdies at the fourth and six holes had moved Rose to seven-under for the tournament at the turn.
But bogeys at 12 and 17, where he three-putted despite having a makeable birdie attempt, saw him slip back.
The former North Hants member did birdie the last, though, to keep him among the top ten.
After his round, Rose said: "I was playing fairly solid, a couple under through nine, then the wind picked up on the back nine, which made it tough.
"I had two sixes on the back nine – one at 12 and a crazy three putt at 17. But the rest of it was pretty solid."
