Carberry century inspired by Sir Viv

MICHAEL Carberry revealed that Sir Viv Richards inspired his latest batting masterclass at Taunton.

Carberry’s unbeaten 103 secured Hampshire a nine-wicket win with 70 balls remaining of their Clydesdale Bank 40 match against Somerset – which sends them top of Group B.

Former England batsman Carberry took Hampshire to their 213-run target and reached his 83-ball century with the same straight six.
