Southampton's visit to Chelsea to be rescheduled due to World Club Cup

SAINTS have confirmed their Premier League visit to Chelsea this season will be rearranged.

Nigel Adkins' side were due to travel to Stamford Bridge on December 15, but a new date will need to be found because of the Blues' participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

The fixture is yet to be rescheduled.

I take it that Chelsea will be siting out of the FA cup this year just like United in 2000?

Here we go - the season hasn't even started and already fixtures are being changed. Had planned to take my son to this game as a birthday treat so that idea is out of the window. Does anyone know how long before Sky decide on the games that are to be televised at the start of the season - I'm sure the game again Man City will be televised at some time over the weekend - just hoping it is not the Monday at 8 o'clock game.

Unfortunately that's why I won't be getting a ST this year £300+ for an 11year old who may not be able to see all the games is just too much.
