Anderlecht replace Rangers in Markus Liebherr Cup (From Daily Echo)

At last I feel a little more confident buying a ticket. I think the price is a bit high but at least I get to see all the new players. Well 1 at least. Come on saints don't be shy and splash some cash.

Anderlecht is a Belgian 1st Division side. Surprised you didn't know.

I think more notice could have been given to the true Rangers fans who had planned family holidays to attend The Markus Lebherr Memorial Cup.I am certain it will be a great family day out and good luck to Southampton in the Premiership.

At £25 I hope they actually put out a first team this year. The event was ok last time but at that price I would hope to see a 'proper' team on the pitch this time!!

wow. i've been a life long saints fan. born and raised. also happen to be a gers fan. very disappointed in southampton for pulling this at the last minute. "with the integrity of the competition in mind" ha! hmmm given that this is a competition honouring the person who took the saints out of administration, the same spot the gers are in now, think they threw integrity out the window... getting a bit full of ourselves with the premiership eh.

Was never happy with the cheating blue noses coming to St. Marys.
They’ve never been known as a family friendly club, so why they were invited to this memorial event beggars belief. Good riddance to the cheats.

U donut - you ain't even certain of putting a team out! It's nothing to do with integrity and being 'full of ourselves'! You made your bed - now lie in it !

IT WAS £25! correct me if I'm wrong but yesterday they increased the price fom £25 per adult to NOW £47 per adult!!!!!!

There having a laugh I was due to purchase tickets for myself,wife and kids would on Mondays price cost me £65 now would cost £100+ for a family fun day! I''ve got my ST's but if these prices are correct I definately will not be there, shame really.

I think its £45 for the bundle which includes Ajax and Udinese.

Short memory is the Markus Liebherr Memorial Cup not in recognition to the man who saved saints ? As for Rangers not being family friendly have you ever been to Ibrox Stadium where we have 5,500 young fans in the family stand ? As for ''cheating'' there is no evidence yet in any wrong doing.The reason we are in this position is a certain man Mr Whyte bought the club and did not pay taxes during his time in charge.
And just for you my family will be at St.Marys just as we were last year and again hoping it will be a family fun day out.

Welcome Anderlecht- I'm getting all misty eyed about our trip to Belgium-77 I think it was. I've a soft spot for them, and Sunderland, Newcastle, Hibernian, Hearts, Feyenoord, Ajax, Aldershot, Athletico Bilbao, York City and whoever's playing Skunts, Manu, Spurs, Marseilles and Chelsea soon to be Man City, but i can't support 'em all, so it's The Saints for me!

Yes I have been to Ibrox, and it’s a place I’ll never go back to.
The club was born out of prejudice and hatred; children were indoctrinated into an environment of bigotry and hatred, and the sooner this club with it’s religious and paramilitary bigotry no longer exists the better.
If you want me to name the cities that rangers have disgraced then feel free to comment, you are typical of the supporters rangers have, people who know nothing about their history of bigotry.I pray they are confined to the anoles of history with the rest of the religious bigots.

I don't blame you for not going back to Ibrox with the weather up in Scotland why do you think I moved down here ? but you must admit the 5 star stadium is the only one in Scotland and is fantastic.The club was born out of poverty in the East End of Glasgow,a good book to read is ''The Gallant Pioneers'' which will enlighten you.As for ''paramilitary bigotry'' never heard of these two words being used together and I have served my country in war zones throughout the world.Bigitory of course any form is a criminal offence in Scotland so I assume you are living in the past.As for me being a typical Rangers supporter you know nothing about me and I just hope I don't have the pleasure of sitting next to you in the family stand when I am there with the kids throughout the season because with your comments I would think you should be accompanied by an adult when attending Saints games.
