Hampshire batsman Michael Carberry is expected to be out for up to seven weeks with a knee injury.
Carberry will undergo an operation to remove torn cartilage this weekend, having seen a specialist yesterday afternoon.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury during net practice on Tuesday.
