To all of our negative and impatient Saints supporters, the dynamic duo have come up trumps again.
Worry not, they are the best management in the
Prem, everything is done quietly and effectively.
Left back was our Achilles heal last season,we leaked too many goals from this position. We also needed someone able to put there foot-in, in midfield, when we were under pressure.
Err indoors and myself can't wait to wear our new shirts to watch this great team in the new season.

Wisdom from the Oldboy (and the post from H.E.Bob).

Going by what others say, he should turn out to be a good signing and, imo, fills the post we have, more than any other, desperately needed to fill.

It's that 'box-to-box' bit. With due respect to Dean H., I think he may have found his level. I'm sure he'll have the chance to see if he can step up and I hope he can but SD has played at this level and is in the prime of his career.

btw, is it still a 'bus'? A bus seems so last season. Do we still welcome the new boys onto 'the bus'? Or, now we're in the Prem, is it a luxery, air-con, double-decker coach complete with built-in personal TV screens and all that jazz?"

Davis signs on at Saints

Davis signs on at Saints Davis signs on at Saints

Steven Davis has become the latest player to put the Rangers saga behind him by signing a three-year deal at Southampton.

The 27-year-old was captain of the beleaguered Scottish side but left after rejecting a transfer to the newco club.

Davis follows the likes of Kyle Lafferty and Steven Whittaker out of the club and has joined newly-promoted Saints until 2015.

The move marks Davis’ return to the Barclays Premier League, where he played for both Aston Villa and Fulham.

The central midfielder left the latter for Rangers in 2008 after an initial loan and went on to win the 2010 Scottish Players' Player of the Year and captain the Ibrox club.

Northern Ireland skipper Davis becomes Saints’ second signing since promotion back to the top flight, following Jay Rodriguez’s £6million move from Burnley.
