I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm having doubts about the ability of the NC and NA duo to manage us through the premiership and am not surprised that the bookies have NA as favorite to get his marching orders this coming season.

Glad you should think so. Being a multi-millionaire business man does not necessarily make for a successful football chairman, as has been proven time and time again. Managing second and third tier teams do not necessarily transfer to success in the premiership. We are in a different “ball” game in the premiership requiring management skills that are not necessarily found in the business world as you well know. NC may well be a multimillionaire but it’s not his money invested in the club.

we may not have prem experience but we have young talented players with more coming in and the rest of the prem have no experience of us so could be in for a shock just like most teams we faced last year! Im very optimistic myself.

You might want to take a look at his background before he came to Saints before you start banging on about 'management skills'.

Managing second and third tier teams do not necessarily transfer to success in the premiership. We are in a different “ball” game in the premiership requiring management skills that are not necessarily found in the business world as you well know. NC may well be a multimillionaire but it’s not his money invested in the club.

If you are 'truely Saints' as your moniker suggests, why not try having a little patience and belief in the Chairman and Manager of the football club you support rather than dropping churlish and unsupportive remarks like the one you posted earlier. Your latest comment does sound like you have some kind of grudge against Mr Cortese, as the impression you give is not exactly complimentary to the man or what he has helped to achieve. You might want to take a look at his background before he came to Saints before you start banging on about 'management skills'.

I can only judge as I find and I have mostly seen him only in obscure Championship localities of the past, where he's fine company just as long as he's holding a relatively full pint glass.

Of course, come the home matches, like you, Bill and Gossie, he's among the first to leave The Station when the non-ST holders like me show up at 2.15pm on match days!

I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm having doubts about the ability of the NC and NA duo to manage us through the premiership and am not surprised that the bookies have NA as favorite to get his marching orders this coming season.

For your infromation I have run a succesful international business and doubt that I need lessons from either of them, certainly not when it comes to getting deals done. Take it from me they are stretching credibility somewhat especially over the Buttner deal.

Glad you should think so. Being a multi-millionaire business man does not necessarily make for a successful football chairman, as has been proven time and time again. Managing second and third tier teams do not necessarily transfer to success in the premiership. We are in a different “ball” game in the premiership requiring management skills that are not necessarily found in the business world as you well know. NC may well be a multimillionaire but it’s not his money invested in the club.

The right back position is more of a priority i think, so I would be happy to get Clyne, but Zaha does looks the business as well. As for Owen Hargreaves - I think Jack Hargreaves is in better shape than him! (showing my age now)

First time posting on here .. only seen Saints live Twice in past 3 seasons having been exiled in Singapore. I can only judge as I find and I have mostly seen him only in obscure Championship localities of the past, where he's fine company just as long as he's holding a relatively full pint glass.
