England star Briggs named in Ventnor side

Hampshire and England left-arm spinner Danny Briggs has been named in the Ventnor side for tomorrow’s scheduled bottom v top ECB Southern Electric Premier League match against unbeaten leaders South Wilts at Newcloss (11.30am).

In the unlikely event of the Island’s county ground being fit for play – not a ball was bowled in midweek when the MCC YC’s were due to play Sussex 2nd XI there – Briggs will make his first Ventnor appearance for more than two seasons.
