PLANS are being put together to mark the achievements of Hamble cycle sensation Dani King, left.

Parish councillors are meeting on Monday to decide on a fitting celebration for the gold medallist while Eastleigh Borough Council leader Keith House says Dani’s success would be marked “in a special way”.

He is due to hold talks with the young star’s parents Trevor and Lynn once the dust has settled on the Olympics .

Dani and her teammates Joanna Rowsell and Laura Trott demolished their American competition in the final on Saturday evening, and smashed the world record for the sixth successive time.

Maybe they could build a decent cycle path and name it after her? They are doing a great job along Weston Shore. I guess the aim of this would be to connect it up to Hamble.
