Hampshire are back in the LV County Championship promotion positions despite being held to a draw by Gloucestershire at Bristol today.
Having started the final day on 102-4, Gloucestershire only lost one wicket before lunch before they were eventually dismissed for 277 - an insurmountable lead of 272.
Ian Cockbain frustrated Hampshire with the second century of his career, making 112 on a wicket that flattened out in the sunshine, before hands were shaken on a draw after two overs of the visitors' second innings.
Both sides took eight points from the match, which leaves Hampshire in second, level with third-placed Yorkshire on 120.
