Hampshire's Neil Raymond and Harry Ellis were part of the England team that lost the Home Internationals on countback.
The three-time defending champions finished on the same number of points as both Scotland and Ireland, but were ranked third on the tiebreak at Glasgow Gailes.
Corhampton's Raymond picked up three out of six points during the week, while Meon Valley teenager Ellis earned two from his five matches on his senior international debut, as England beat Wales and Ireland, but lost to the host nation.
