Rickie Lambert and Jos Hooiveld visit PSP Southampton Boat Show

SAINTS stars swapped the football pitch for a Sunseeker superyacht celebrating the club’s connection with the boat firm.

Rickie Lambert and Jos Hooiveld were given a tour of the £4.6m Sunseeker 28 at the PSP Southampton Boat Show .

Sunseeker has signed a contract with three-year deal with Southampton to support them in the premiership.

The Poole-based company will now get their branding across the stadium with the name advertised on dug-out seats and on the interview boards during and after games.

For Sunseeker, which employs about 2,200 people from across the south coast, it means that their logo can get worldwide recognition through the Premier League club.

Miles Moorhouse, director of marketing and communications for Sunseeker said: “We’re now a part of Southampton FC and the brand exposure from this deal is absolutely phenomenal.

“I can’t really see what else we could do to get better branding.

“We hope this deal will continue for a long time.”

Four games in? Don't shoot your torpedo yet.

They obviously got a decent pay rise from getting promoted to the Prem, do they go everywhere in their Saints tracksuits? Spose it saves on clothes, helps towards that deposit for a new yacht

Why not? What is the problem? Went there myself and was annoyed to have missed seeing them. It could be plain sailing for us from now on, win some games in a row and the moaners will go back in to their shells. What we need is a strong hand on the tiller to guide us to where we want to be.

What would you expect them to wear? Pin stripe suits with split jeans and bowler hats?

It's kind of like a uniform, would you be able to spot them in crowd if they wore civvies?

Your not in advertising or promotional work are you? ;)

Unforunately losing can become habit forming when a team loses confidence in it's abilty.

Tough games? Of course. All games are tough in the top flight, but I think that I am not alone in thinking that Wigan at home would have meant at least a point.

2 points behind Liverpool, I'd settle for that at the end of the season !

Given the choice of pointless, minus pointless or potless I know which of the three I'd choose.....now leave the laughing to us.

What kind of comment is "Titanic"?
How insensitive is that to name a Ship that sank with the loss of many lives, hundreds from Southampton, and probably Portsmouth as well to get in a cheap dig over a Football related forum.
Coming from a seafaring City Linesman, who has lost many lives to the sea over hundreds of years just about sums you up!
You should go and hang your head in shame.
