African Cup may cost Saints their striker

Mayuka
SAINTS are likely to be without striker Emmanuel Mayuka for up to a month later this season, after he helped Zambia qualify for the African Cup of Nations.
The 21-year-old, below, was part of the side that won a dramatic play-off with Uganda at the weekend to book a place in the finals.
The tournament is scheduled to run from January 19 to February 10, in South Africa, meaning Saints could be without Mayuka’s services for an extended period of time in the new year.

I understand that the whole team plus the manager are on a learning stage but how much longer will it take them by the end on this month we will be around 1/4 through the Prem program and we will need as some have said around 50 points to stay up would hate to see us take a drop back now but any way good luck Mayuka hope he and his team wins good luck COYR's

I haven't got a Mayuka shirt yet as I know very little about Africa and frankly what I have heard isn't great. For a start I certainly wouldn't put a bet on an African match because I heard on Radio 4 the place is full of cheetahs.

He was an acrobat on tour with the Chinese National Circus. Anyhow, one of the circus lions, Haitai, escaped and they chased after it only to find it was on a huge plain with about 300 other lions - and they couldn't tell which one was Haitai. Anyhow, cut a long story short, they picked the wrong one and two days later it ate Guan.
I did say to Auntie Elspeth, jokingly, that I bet a few days earlier Guan had called a witch doctor a w@nker.
No laugh - I was just told off for being dismissive and condescending about Africa.

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THEM !!
WE JUST WANT TO COME BACK TO THE SOUTH COAST WITH 3 POINTS.
There is no way we should let in a goal against wet spam - and at the very worst just one goal.
WE MUST PUT IN A FIGHTING PERFORMANCE TO WIN THIS GAME
If we let in our average of 3 goals against the championship wet spam punching above their weight - then we have serious problems.
THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN.
WE ARE THE MIGHTY SOUTHAMPTON.
We took all 3 points from millwall last year and we will do the same to wet spam this year.

Pity the Chinese didn't build Dar's new airport back in the '80s. The Tanzanian's gave that job to the French and, within minutes of its opening, it managed to blow Dar's entire electrical supply.

21 year old Manu playing international football and can't get a run in the first team.
Keeping an eye on our U18,U21 and you will see some real good footballers , just ask Arsenal about them, they are at most of our youth games!
JWP has impressed every one with his mature play and everyone is asking when Luke Shaw is going to get in the team.
Cup game last month was a good showcase for the talent we have sitting and waiting.
Males me wonder why everyone keeps asking why we haven't spent money for some of the dross with"PL experience", not all experience is good.

In our case it was ML cash not NC money.
NC has got greedy, look at the prices being charged for hospitality, crazy money and half empty.
What about all the loyal workers at St Marys who have lost their jobs? Paid a pittance but just discarded.
We are in danger of losing that "special " arrangement unique to Saints FC.
The people looking at the club are north American, maybe even Canadian, so I am informed.

Was just stating that even Fergie would struggle if he did not have financial backing.

As I said, just sh!t stirring.
No loyal workers have been sacked at SMS.
Same prices in hospitality that all other clubs charge, sometimes lower.
There is a shortage of money everywhere, unless you have a money tree in your back garden?
Please just shut up !
Getting very fed up with no neck losers like you sticking daggers into MY football club.
Support the Saints, do you know how to do that?
Do not try the usual tactic of accusing me of blind faith either, just produce some real facts and then I will listen.
Till then take a hike.

I was amazed at the animals that were caged there.
This was at the height of footie violence but I was astounded that creatures like that existed.
I also worked at Canal Wharf when it was being built and saw a discussion between WHU + Millwall, unbelievable!
And yet when I went to a game there about 3 years ago, I was made welcome and had quite a good chat in a pub with several fans. Might be different if we had been playing them though!
Have a nice day and come back with all the points.

Five of us walking from Pub to St Mary's on Sunday straw-polled the 2-2 result-but maybe not the manner of it.
Also two of us mouthed the words 'here we go' before the crossfield balls that led to Fulham's two goals, and we're only humble fans, so I'm sure Nigel saw it.
Also, for what it's worth...we all think we'll be allright this season, and that without the aforesaid hindsight, we'd have taken that before the season started. Europe and proper Saints Stripes will have to wait a bit longer, that's all.
