Tottonians kept their promotion bid alive with a mediocre home performance against Teddington that still netted them a 43-10 win in London 2 South-West.

Teddington took the lead with a penalty but Totts hit back when centre Mike Searle glided through to touch down, with Robbie Searle adding the conversion.

Outside centre Richard Buck and second row Sam Cranton added a further two tries before half-time and the visitors intercepted to register one of their own.

Another Robbie Searle penalty was followed by a penalty try which brought up Totts’ bonus point.

Tries from hooker Nick Jones and a second from Mike Searle sealed the outcome.

London Cornish lost ground in the promotion race as they were defeated at home by Old Reigatian.

Portsmouth dragged themselves off the bottom of the league with a 32-11 home win over Old Alleynians.
