Fernandes bags Southern Area crown

Jon Fernandes has won the Southern Area super bantamweight title after a thrilling victory over Jamie Speight.

The Southampton fighter took a 97-95 points verdict after an absorbing and evenly matched contest at Southampton Guildhall.

There was also a points win for Tony Hill while fellow Southampon based fighters Joe Pigford, Chris Hobbs and Alex Dilmaghani also registered wins.
