Tony Hill's bid to win the Commonwealth title ended in heartache as he was stopped by Billy Joe Saunders after just 30 seconds.
The 25-year-old Southampton middleweight had barely had time to get into the contest at the Royal Albert Hall then he was caught by a swinging shot from Saunders.
He did well not to go down but was so stunned he was backed on to the ropes where Saunders unleashed a barrage of shots.
After another staggered Hill the referee had no choice but to step in and end the bout.
