MICHAEL Carberry was overshadowed by Perth Scorchers team-mate Michael Klinger during their side’s Australian KFC Big Bash victory earlier today.
Hampshire batsman Carberry had to wait for a chance to shine after openers Klinger and Marcus Harris (53) had put on 103 in 11 overs against the Melbourne Renegades in Perth.
After Harris was dismissed, Carberry was out for a 15-ball 17 including one four and one six.
Former Gloucestershire skipper Klinger went on to hit an unbeaten 108 off 60 balls, with ten sixes, as Perth rattled up 192-3.
Renegades were restricted to 157-9, with No 6 Andre Russell top scoring with 42 off just 21 balls before he was bowled by Yasir Arafat, who will be playing for Hampshire alongside Carberry next summer.
