FIDEL Edwards was smashed by Chris Gayle as his side lost by ten wickets at the Caribbean Premier League.
Gayle made 90 not out from only 36 balls (nine sixes) as Edwards’ St Lucia Zouks lost by ten wickets with ten overs to spare at the CPL.
Edwards conceded 42 from four overs against the Jamaica Tallawahs, but took the big wicket of Tillakaratne Dilshan in a thrilling win on Friday night.
The Hampshire star, who will return to the Ageas Bowl for the last two months of the season, took 2-36 as the St Lucia Zouks beat the Guyana Amazon Warriors by two runs.
Edwards stepped up to bowl the last six balls with Guyana needing 14. Thirteen were needed from the last five when Sri Lanka legend Dilshan, having returned to the crease after retiring hurt during the powerplay, was bowled.
Edwards also took 2-29 last Wednesday but St Lucia only managed 118-9 last night.
