HAMPSHIRE could have Sean Ervine and Liam Dawson in their T20 Blast quarter-final side at Worcestershire on Friday.
Ervine saw a surgeon yesterday, seven weeks after he broke a finger while batting in the LV County Championship.
He will play in the Second XI’s two-day friendly against the Elite International Cricket Academy today.
Dawson will not be returning to Essex to play in the shortest format, as was originally suggested, following his stellar all-round Royal London One-Day Cup form.
Coach Dale Benkenstein said: “Daws’ is where we want him to be, he’s a match winner and will definitely add to our side in the quarter-final.
“Sean has a good chance, the finger has healed and he’s got the all-clear from the doctor. He has to see if he can play cricket now.”
