HAMPSHIRE have signed Ireland bowler Craig Young on a loan deal.
The 26-year-old fast-bowler has joined the club on a short-term deal after injuries to Fidel Edwards, Reece Topley, Gareth Berg and Ryan Stevenson.
He is set to play for Hampshire's second XI against Somerset at the Ageas Bowl on Monday.
The right-arm bowler previously played for Sussex and has won 31 caps for Ireland, taking 58 wickets at an average of 22.83.
Hampshire director of cricket Giles White said: "Craig comes as a recommendation from Ireland Head Coach John Bracewell and in light of the current injury problems we have, this gives us a good opportunity to take a closer look at him."
