Ryan Gilmour is set for his Bashley (Rydal) debut against the Hampshire Academy - just seven days after making a stunning first appearance on the Southern Electric Premier League stage in a 2nds match at South Wilts.

The Kent University all-rounder, who has joined Bashley from Newbury-based Homes Counties Premier League side Falkland, took 5-35 with his left-arm seam before hitting an unbeaten 81 in the five-wicket Division 3 win over South Wilts II.

Gilmour, whose younger brother Brandon played for Bashley last summer before joining Gloucestershire’s academy, will find tomorrow’s first team debut on the Ageas Bowl Nursery Ground far more demanding.

He replaces fellow all-rounder Simon Ridley for Bashley, who are anxious to return to winning ways after losing by 19 runs to Ventnor last week.

Opening bowler Kevin Nash is side-lined for three weeks after breaking a finger in a pre-match fielding drill before the Ventnor game.

The Academy are without Lancing leg-spinner Mason Crane, so Havant's Josh McCoy comes in.

Academy: Weatherley, Alsop, Stokes, Goodwin, Webb, Taylor, McCoy, Evans, Covers, Murray, Barber.

Bashley (Rydal): Thurgood, Porter, Morgan, Baker, Morris, Thomson, Neal, Gilmour, Friedman, Grierson, Lilley
