Lymington cricketer Cameron Grierson could miss the remainder of the ECB Southern Electric Premier League season after breaking his arm in Saturday’s drawn New Forest derby against Bashley (Rydal).

Grierson was struck just below the wrist by a delivery from Bashley’s Jake Lilley during the evening session at the Sports ground and retired hurt. He later underwent an X-ray which revealed a broken bone in his arm.

Grierson will now miss Sunday’s Southern Electric t20 Cup quarter-final tie with Hartley Wintney and a host of vital Premier Division matches.

Lymington are currently stuck at the bottom of the table.
