South Australian prospect Cameron Valente went on a six-scoring spree to secure a place for Totton & Eling in the inaugural Southern Electric twenty20 Plate Cup semi-finals.

Valente smashed eight sixes – four of his maximums coming in one Mike West over – and seven fours in a blistering 99 not out off only 38 balls to set up a 47-run win over host club, Calmore Sports.

The Adelaide all-rounder’s blitz saw Totton to a powerful 194-4 and an eventual 47-run win over Calmore, for whom Hampshire under-16 left-hander Ben Johns caught the eye.

Totton go into the Plate semi-final draw alongside Hook & Newnham Basics, New Milton and Waterlooville, who won at their own venues.
