Winsor at the double

Winsor trebled their points tally for the season thanks to back-to-back victories over fellow strugglers Hythe Strikers. A Ben Conway hat-trick and a Brad Whittle pair helped them to a convincing 8-0 victory over a ring rusty Hythe side, who battled back in the second game only losing to the odd goal in five. Sam Target hit the bulls eye twice for Winsor, Iwan Blann doing likewise for the Strikers in the second encounter.

Tadburn Annual 'Six-a-side' Tournament

Tadburn YFC in Romsey will be holding their annual six-a-side tournament at Mountbatten School in June. The event will be held over the weekend of 21 and 22 June. Please note in your diaries.

Whiteley spike Colden guns

The Colden Common goal machine which had averaged almost ten goals a game in achieving an unbeaten record this season, came to a grinding halt this week as a resolute Whiteley Juniors held out tenaciously to secure a 1-0 victory courtesy of a first half Matthew Caunt strike. The Common attacked relentlessly in the second period but were constantly thwarted by the heroics of diminutive Thomas Butts in the Whiteley goal.
