Wyvern Football Club Six-a-Side Tournament
The Wyvern Football Club Six-a-Side Tournament this year will be held on 19th and 20th July 2008 at Wyvern Technology College, Botley Road, Fair Oak, Hampshire.
Last year's tournament was once again a highly successful event and attracted teams from far and wide. You can be guaranteed a great day out for all the family, with plenty of side-shows and refreshments alongside some great football. The format will be:
3 groups of 8 teams for U8, U9, U10 and U11, playing on a round-robin basis, with the top 2 teams from each group plus 2 best runners-up moving into the quarter-final knockout stages.
2 groups of 8 teams for U12 & U13, playing on a round-robin basis, with the top 2 teams from each group moving directly into the semi-final knockout stages.
SATURDAY 19th JULY 2008 WILL BE FOR UNDER 9's, UNDER 11 & UNDER 13's
SUNDAY 20th JULY 2008 WILL BE FOR UNDER 8's, UNDER 10's & UNDER 12's
This tournament has been sanctioned by Hampshire Football Association Limited. The tournament will be open to any Club affiliated to a County Association. If you wish to participate, please complete the attached application form and return it to me with cheque's made payable to Wyvern F.C. for entry per team of £26, and in any case before the closing date of 1st June 2008. A number of Clubs were disappointed last year because the age groups filled up quickly and places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Clubs may apply to enter two teams in each age group, but if an age group is oversubscribed it may be necessary to limit Clubs to one team per age group.
We do hope that you can join us on the 19th/20th July for what I am sure will be a thoroughly enjoyable competition, where we can play football with the emphasis on enjoyment for the players. If you wish to discuss the arrangements or any details of the tournament further then please give me a ring or contact me via email.
