All change at top of Blue League

It was a changing picture at the top of the Blue League this week as a weakened Hedge End Rhinos slipped down the table following a goaless draw with Tadburn Cougars and a five goal thumping from Totton Rangers for whom Ross Stickland scored four. Ther are now only four points separating the top six sides in this most competitive of leagues.

Sportstars Red took full advantage of the Rhinos demise, with two victories which took them into top spot. They overcame Townhill Tornadoes 5-0 before securing a 2-0 win over St Deny's Youth.

Close on the Sportstars heels with games in hand are Wyvern Saints who also gain two wins, a 5-0 win over Hedge End Cougars and a 3-0 victory over Townhill Tornadoes.

Totton Rangers moved into third spot after sinking the Rhinos and overcoming Hythe Harriers 2-0, Tadburn Cougars also notched a 5-2 victory over Hythe to take them into fourth spot.

Eastleigh did their goal difference no harm in their back-to-back matches with Granley Rovers, recording 6-0 and 9-0 wins, Brad Elkins doing most damage with a nine goal tally over the two games. It was also a good day for City Central as Ronnie Digwa's boys scored four in both wins over Bitterne and St Denys.
