Pace stroll to title in style

Pace Pumas strolled to the Red League title in style this week as they hammered Hythe Striker Spitfires 15-1. Ryan Chester did most of the damage scoring nine, whilst Callum Hine added a hat-trick and George Terry a brace.

Colden defer Pace celebrations

Colden Common A virtually guaranteed themselves at least runners up spot as a Jason Probert hat-trick helped them to a 3-1 win over Pace Pumas who were hoping to seal the title this week. With three games left the Pumas need just one point to secure the title. In their other game Colden extended their goal difference with an 8-1 win over Bitterne Terriers Blue who had done well to keep the score to 1-1 at the half way mark. Matt Musgrove and Jason Probert both scored hat-trick in this win.

Pumas one pace away from title

Pace Pumas secured maximum points this weekend to take them within one point of the Red League title. Following a hard fought 2-0 win over Sarisbury Sparks, the Pumas ran out 5-3 winners against Townhill Emperors thanks to four goals from Ryan Chester. Josh Price scored two for the Emperors, the first of which was one of the best goals of the day.

Pace sink Common but girls steal the show

Pace Pumas took a massive step towards the Red League title this week when two goal Ryan Chester enabled them to overcome nearest rivals Colden Common A 2-0, to bring them within five points of the silverware. Alresford Town A also put another nail in the Common coffin, beating them by a 5-1 margin, Francesca Thornton grabbing a brace. Francesca also netted a hat-trick in the 9-0 beating of Hythe Strikers, Jimmy Hawkings also weighing in with a hat-trick.

Sarisbury Sparkle and Colden run riot

Sarisbury Sparks are really finding their feet now in the Red League as this week they followed up a 4-1 win over Hythe Strikers with a surprise 1-0 victory over high riding Littleton Lions.

Winsor at the double

Winsor trebled their points tally for the season thanks to back-to-back victories over fellow strugglers Hythe Strikers. A Ben Conway hat-trick and a Brad Whittle pair helped them to a convincing 8-0 victory over a ring rusty Hythe side, who battled back in the second game only losing to the odd goal in five. Sam Target hit the bulls eye twice for Winsor, Iwan Blann doing likewise for the Strikers in the second encounter.

Botley give tabletoppers Pace a scare

Botley Village Green, who sit at the foot of the Red League gave league leaders Pace Pumas one almighty scare as they raced into a 1-0 interval lead thanks to a Wyatt Brennan strike. Stong words from manager Shawn Kitcher at half time however galvanised the Pumas into action and Ryan Chester responded with a second half brace to give the Pumas a narrow victory over the brave Botley battlers. The second match between the two teams saw Pace return to form with a 7-0 win, Adam Pattison and Callum Hine weighing in with two apiece.

Alresford and Littleton on song

It was a good day for our teams on the northern fringes this week, as both Littleton Lions and Alresford Town closed down on the leaders with maximum points each. Alresford's Jimmy Hawkings grabbed a brace in each of their wins over Winsor and Sarisbury, Francesca Thornton also weighing in with a hat-trick in the 6-0 win over Winsor. Sarisbury picked up their fist win of the season, defeating Bitterne Terriers Blue 1-0. Bitterne also went home happy as a Charlie Gordon hat-trick secured them two points over Winsor.

Whiteley spike Colden guns

The Colden Common goal machine which had averaged almost ten goals a game in achieving an unbeaten record this season, came to a grinding halt this week as a resolute Whiteley Juniors held out tenaciously to secure a 1-0 victory courtesy of a first half Matthew Caunt strike. The Common attacked relentlessly in the second period but were constantly thwarted by the heroics of diminutive Thomas Butts in the Whiteley goal.
