Owen on Kew as lightning strikes another blow

The Earls and Warsash Wasps match seems to have been fated from the start. The first match was cancelled due to the weather, the second match cancelled due to snow in April and just when it looked like the game would finally be completed, the third match had to be abandoned just after half time due lightning strikes in the vicinity.

Leopards and Panthers share the spoils

In their final league match of the season, bottom two clubs Littleton Leopards and Tadburn Panthers shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Nimrods claim runners up spot

Hedge End Nimrods claimed the White League runners up spot as they defeated nearest challengers Itchen Boys 2-1 and drew with Warsash Wasps Red 0-0. The Wasps claimed third spot by virtue of Itchen's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Colden Common B. Itchen did manage however to hold on to fourth spot.

Scorpions have sting in tail for champions

Champions St Francis Rangers manager Mark Simpkin was full of praise for Hedge End Scorpions who by all accounts thoroughly deserved their 1-0 win over the champions. The Scorpions completed a good final day with a 4-0 win over Earls.

St Francis take White League title

St Francis Rangers took the White League title this week with games to spare as they put on a fine second half display to sink Warsash Wasps Red 5-1, Peter Thatcher and Matt Smith scoring two apiece for the Rangers. The Rangers then went on to their first defeat of the season as Bashley battled to a 1-0 victory.

Wasps sting Nimrods as Jack Frost bites

The frost caused a number of cancellations before the White League finally got under way with a top of the table clash between third placed Warsash Wasps Red and second placed Hedge End Nimrods. The Wasps closed the gap on their opponents by securing a 2-0 victory.

St Francis extend lead

St Francis strengthened their position at the top of the White League with wins over Itchen Boys 2-0 and Tadburn Panthers 5-0, Peter Thatcher netting a hat-trick in the Tadburn match. Hedge End Nimrods also overcame Tadburn, Daniel Curry scoring a brace in their 3-0 win.

Wasps sting leopards as leaders left kicking heels

With the leaders of the White division left kicking their heels due to a fixtures mix-up, Warsash Wasps took full adavantage with back-to-back wins over Littleton Leopards. Joe Dartmouth scored twice in their initial 4-0 win, which was followed by a more competitive 2-0 victory.

St Francis win battle of table toppers

St Francis took a massive step towards the White League title this week as they achieved a double over main challegers Hedge End Nimrods with a narrow 1-0 victory in a thoroughly entertaining match. They also overcame the Scorpions from Hedge End with a similar scoreline to consolidate their top spot. The Nimrods second match saw George Eley bang in four in a 7-1 win over Littleton Leopards.

Colden Common hold leaders St Francis

In one of the best performances of the day, Colden Common B held leaders St Francis Rangers to a 1-1 draw, then to cap a good day, a Charlie Simmonds hat-trick saw them to a 4-1 win over Littleton Leopards. St Francis recovered their composure to overcome Bashley 5-1, thanks largely to a four goal blast from Matt Smith.
