St Francis win battle of table toppers
St Francis took a massive step towards the White League title this week as they achieved a double over main challegers Hedge End Nimrods with a narrow 1-0 victory in a thoroughly entertaining match. They also overcame the Scorpions from Hedge End with a similar scoreline to consolidate their top spot. The Nimrods second match saw George Eley bang in four in a 7-1 win over Littleton Leopards.
Bashley came out on top in their back-to-back encounter with Colden Common B, drawing the first match 1-1 then emerging as 5-1 victors in the second, Jamie Driver top scoring with a hat-trick.
Earls showed their resilience in holding the strong Warsash Wasps Red to a goal-less draw. The Wasps then went one better in a 2-1 win over Tadburn Panthers.The Panthers also went down by the same scoreline to Hedge End Scorpions.
Baddesley Park did well to hold Itchen to a 2-2 draw before being narrowly edged out by Hiltingbury, going down 2-1.
