Owen on Kew as lightning strikes another blow
The Earls and Warsash Wasps match seems to have been fated from the start. The first match was cancelled due to the weather, the second match cancelled due to snow in April and just when it looked like the game would finally be completed, the third match had to be abandoned just after half time due lightning strikes in the vicinity.
The score stood at 2-1 in favour of Warsash thanks to two Owen Kew strikes. Strictly speaking insufficient time had been played to allow the result to stand but the Fair Play winners, Earls lived up to their reputation by sportingly agreeing to the final result standing.
