BA Juniors and Winchester Hawks sign off with wins

Ba Juniors and Winchester Hawks both secured narrow wins over Testwood United to close off their seasons. BA ran out 2-0 winners whilst Winchester scraped home 2-1 thanks to a Ben Cawston brace.

Ice skate to runners up spot

Fawley Falcons were counting on champions Hythe Jets to do them a favour by holding Ice to at least a draw to enable the Falcons to secure runners up spot. Ice had other ideas however as boosted by a recent win over the Jets, they again came out on top thanks to a solitary Macauley Oliver strike. Ice then went on to ensure runners up spot with an 8-0 win over Alresford Town B, Macauley adding two further goals along with braces from Liam Hodder and Frazer McLean.

Jets soar to Yellow League title

Hythe Jets finally secured the Yellow League title this week, but not without having to be made to fight all the way to overlome lowly St Francis Rovers by one goal to nil. They then celebrated by beating Testwood Lancers convincingly 5-0, Matthew Jones on target twice for the Jets.

Jets forced to put champagne on Ice

Following their 9-1 thumping of St Francis Rovers, Hythe Jets needed just one point against Ice Sports to secure the Yellow League title. the Icemen proved to be party poopers however as they battled to a surprise 2-1 victory and gave the Jets their first defeat of the season. With three games remaining the Jets are still odds on favourites for the title but there is still a close battle between Fawley Falcons, BA Juniors and Ice for the runners up spot.

Alresford Town B make a point

With the unenviable record of being the only team in all five divisions on nil points, Alresford Town B went wild as they finally picked up their first point of the season in a 0-0 draw with Pace Cougars. Earlier they had shown some improvement, losing just 3-0 to Wyvern Devils. The Devils also managed a 0-0 draw with high riding BA Juniors who had early beaten Pace 2-0 thanks to an Alex Talbot brace.

Jets drop first point as Falcons soar

Hythe Jets who had found Wyvern Devils a hard nut to crack last week, found the going equally tough this week as they were held to a 0-0 draw and dropped their first point of the season. The Jets did recover to overcome Winchester Hawks 5-1, but this was not enough to stop Fawley Falcons soaring to top spot, thanks to two 3-1 victories over Warsash Wasps Red and Testwood Lancers, where Matthew Avery scored a hat-trick. The Lancers did gain a 2-0 win over Pace Cougars but the Wasps had to settle for a draw against the same opposition.

Devils and Tiger Cubs give leaders a scare

Wyvern Devils made leaders Hythe Jets fight all the way before a solitary Jordon Smith strike sealed the victory for the Jets. The effort lifted the spirits of the Devils who then went on to a 3-0 over the useful Winchester Hawks. The Hawks did not go home empty handed however thanks to a 4-1 win over Pace Cougars, who also picked up a rare victory with a 1-0 win over St Francis Rovers.

Double header delight for Cobras

Oakwood Cobras proved their liking for the double header format as they notched up two 4-0 wins over Pace Cougars, Billy Allen scoring two in the first game then a hat-trick in the second.

Jets and Falcons fly over Ice

With Ice Sports without matches this week Hythe Jets and Fawley Falcons took full advantage, soaring above them to the two top spots respectively. The Jets secured a hard fought 2-1 win over Testwood Lancers following on from their more comfortable 5-0 defeat of Warsash Wasps Blue in which Robbie Shaw and Harry Swainston both scored twice. The Falcons two wins came courtesy of back to back wins over St Francis Rovers 4-1 and 5-3. Elliot Netherwood and Lewis Donnelly both scoring twice in the latter victory. One must feel sorry for Rovers Felix Watts who scored a hat-trick in this game to no avail.

Ice go top despite slip up

With League leaders Hythe Jets taking an extended break, Ice Sports leapfrogged them into top spot despite losing their unbeaten record to Wyvern Devils, thanks to a Ben Hunt strike. Ice's advanced was courtesy of an earlier 2-0 win over Winchester Hawks. The Hawks did get later compensation thanks to hat-trick from Anton Flood in a 5-1 win over St Francis Rovers.
