Ice go top despite slip up
With League leaders Hythe Jets taking an extended break, Ice Sports leapfrogged them into top spot despite losing their unbeaten record to Wyvern Devils, thanks to a Ben Hunt strike. Ice's advanced was courtesy of an earlier 2-0 win over Winchester Hawks. The Hawks did get later compensation thanks to hat-trick from Anton Flood in a 5-1 win over St Francis Rovers.
Wyvern picked up their first four pointer of the season by also disposing of St Francis by two goals without reply.
Fawley Falcons retained third spot thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over a resilient Oakwood Cobras and a more comfortable 8-0 win over Pace Cougars where Ross Perry grabbed four. Hedge End Tiger Cubs did well to draw with Oakwood and put four past Pace without reply, Ben Semple scoring twice.
BA Juniors are continuing on an upward curve, overcoming neighbours Testwood 4-1 and then putting seven without reply past Warsash Wasps Blue, Thomas Whitehead and Jack Ison each scoring three. Testwood and Warsash both recored 3-0 victories over Alresford Town B who despite losing showed much improved form.
