Jets and Falcons fly over Ice
With Ice Sports without matches this week Hythe Jets and Fawley Falcons took full advantage, soaring above them to the two top spots respectively. The Jets secured a hard fought 2-1 win over Testwood Lancers following on from their more comfortable 5-0 defeat of Warsash Wasps Blue in which Robbie Shaw and Harry Swainston both scored twice. The Falcons two wins came courtesy of back to back wins over St Francis Rovers 4-1 and 5-3. Elliot Netherwood and Lewis Donnelly both scoring twice in the latter victory. One must feel sorry for Rovers Felix Watts who scored a hat-trick in this game to no avail.
Testwood picked up two points thanks to a 4-2 win over Hedge End Tiger Cubs, who themselves also picked up a new year win, edging past Warsash Wasps 3-2.
BA Juniors shared the spoils with Oakwood Cobras after narrowly beating Winchester Hawks earlier by 1-0. The Hawks and the Cobras both put ten past luckless Alresford Town B to keep them cemented at the bottom of the table.
The other back-to back game in the league saw Pace Cougars and Wyvern Devils take one win apiece.
