Double header delight for Cobras
Oakwood Cobras proved their liking for the double header format as they notched up two 4-0 wins over Pace Cougars, Billy Allen scoring two in the first game then a hat-trick in the second.
It was business as usual at the top of the Yellow League as Hythe Jets cruised to two comfortable victories over Alresford Town B and BA Juniors. Everyone seemed to weigh in with goals in the 12-0 mauling of Alresford. More impressive though was the 5-0 win over BA where Matthew Jones helped himself to a brace. BA did get some compensation as Thomas Whitehead scored twice in a 2-0 win over Winchester Hawks. Stung into action, the Hawks showed no mercy to poor old Alresford who they steam rollered over, scoring fourteen without reply, Ben Cawston grabbing six and James Grant four.
Fawley Falcons maintained second spot with a narrow 2-1 win over Testwood Lancers followed by a 4-0 victory over Warsash Wasps Blue, Lewis Donnelly netting twice in the second match.
Hedge End Tiger Cubs recorded two 1-1 draws with the same opposition. The match between Wyvern Devils and high riding Ice Sports also ended in one apiece.
