Jets drop first point as Falcons soar
Hythe Jets who had found Wyvern Devils a hard nut to crack last week, found the going equally tough this week as they were held to a 0-0 draw and dropped their first point of the season. The Jets did recover to overcome Winchester Hawks 5-1, but this was not enough to stop Fawley Falcons soaring to top spot, thanks to two 3-1 victories over Warsash Wasps Red and Testwood Lancers, where Matthew Avery scored a hat-trick. The Lancers did gain a 2-0 win over Pace Cougars but the Wasps had to settle for a draw against the same opposition.
Oakwood Cobras recorded two 1-0 wins over the Hawks and the Devils to go home happy with their days haul.
Ice Sports were overtaken by BA Juniors who sank them 3-0. The Ice did recover to beat St Francis Rovers 8-2, with Liam Hodder and Macauley Oliver helping themselves to hat-tricks. BA went one better netting nine without reply against Alresford Town B, Thomas Whitehead scoring three for the winners. St Francis also lowered the alresford colours, Toby Read scoring three in the 5-0 win.
