EASTLEIGH boss Ian Baird believes his side will be far happier with a point from last night's game than Blue Square Soutg play-off rivals Havant.
The promotion contenders played out an absorbing 1-1 draw at the Silverlake Stadium, with Paul Sales' late effort cancelling out Rocky Baptiste's 76th minute opener for the visitors.
The result moved Eastleigh into third, while Havant remain 11th, five points adrift of the play-offs.
Baird said the draw benefits Eastleigh more than Shaun Gale's Havant, although he still expects them to make a strong push for a top five finish.
"We're not delighted, but we're happy," he said.
"I would imagine Shaun won't be happy with a point after being 1-0 up.
