Doswell quits Eastleigh
Paul Doswell
Paul Doswell

Paul Doswell has quit as assistant manager and equity director at Eastleigh.

The shock move comes following Eastleigh's failure to get into the Blue Square South play-offs.

Doswell, who has been at Eastleigh for six years, guided the club to three promotions in his previous spell as manager and has been a driving force behind the scenes at the Silverlake Stadium.

Although Pauls brain wasnt always in the right place, his heart and enthusiam was. Although i no-longer get to see Eastleigh FC because of local level football commitments, i'm sure the fans will miss him. His character was second to none and his financial input to the club was never in doubt. Good luck Paul with whatever you decide to do in the future. Turkish.

"Fans???" Are you serious???

So is your dog going to post as well to wish him luck?

Dozzy managed to achieve three times what a whole host of others failed to do over nearly 30 years of trying - that's success for me. Well done and good luck Paul.

Thanks for all you did @ Eastleigh FC and for showing the great respect you have for our small (getting bigger) but very passionate set of supporters.
YOU ARE A SPITFIRE

How are the echo gonna fill their non-league pages now? What will they do with the section of their photo library marked 'Paul Doswell'. And why is Mr Doswell pictured infront of a picture of Saints playing at the Dell, almost making out it's him in the picture (not!).
So many questions.

Why does the Echo seem so obsessed about what essentially is a pub team?

EFC. Don't worry about Saints fans. They've got enough problems worrying about starting on minus ten points next season when the FA find out about their accounts. The players will leave, Hoddle will return, as with Lord Rupert and they will be in exactly the same trouble next season. It's a sad fact when you see the only way to fill St Marys is when everyone wants to say 'I was there when they went down'. The once mighty team that Saints were, may never see such fame and fortune again. A sad tale of football these days.

Why are you so obsessed with commenting on something that clearly has no interest to you ??- there are many other threads on the Echo site where your wit and devastating observations would be so greatly appreciated (or maybe not..)
Eastliegh is not a part saints, we are not a non league pub team like urselves

Sorry Rick, I haven't a clue what point you are trying to make - it's probably due to your inability to be able to spell or string a coherent sentence together - can you try again ?

interesting bit in the non league today on sunday about Dozy taking over at Sutton United, which makes his comments about only wanting to be a manager a bit weird !!!
