Hampshire FA impose more Facebook penalties


HAMPSHIRE FA have disciplined two more people for posting comments on social networking site Facebook.

The Echo recently revealed that Fareham girl Jolene Plomer was the first person in England to be fined by a county FA for improper Facebook postings.

And we also revealed that Petersfield player Gary Fuller was fined a huge £125 for starting a discussion group about referee Adrian Reading.

Twelve other players were handed fines ranging from £15 to £75 for posting comments about the match official, who brought the Facebook group to the county FA’s attention.

Now the Hampshire FA have fined Oakwood Youth official Debbie Williams £50 for Facebook comments.

She was charged with “not acting in the best interests of the game” and warned as to her future conduct.

Her comments came after a Southampton Tyro Youth League game against Testwood United in April.

The Hampshire FA have also fined Bournemouth Youth League side Park Rangers Youth £42.24 costs for ‘not acting in the best interestes of the game in relation to Facebook comments’. Those were posted after a game against Everton Youth in February.

Any way to get money out of people that is typical of HFA! The standard of referee's are poor HFA need to get it sorted!!!!!

I think the current members of the H.F.A need to apply to run a league in North Korea or somewhere. I hear Irans lovely at this time of year.

These fines by the blazered buffoons are atrocious. There are too many cliques and committees in the UK which defend the indefensible and abhor any level of criticism aimed at squarely at their door.The FA is one of those.
