SALISBURY City will go into Saturday's FA Trophy semi-final, first leg at home to Barrow buoyed with confidence.
While Barrow endured a 4-0 thumping at league leaders Stevenage Borough last night, Tommy Widdrington's Whites battled back from behind for a morale-boosting 2-1 win at play-off chasing York City in the Blue Square Premier.
Salisbury old boy Djoumin Sangare put the Minstermen ahead on 42 minutes, but the Whites hit back with second-half strikes from Reece Connolly and Darrell Clarke.
The result preserved the Whites' proud record of never having lost to York, who are managed by Salisbury-born ex-Saint Martin Foyle.
