Former Southampton boss Nigel Pearson taken to hospital


FORMER Saints boss Nigel Pearson has been taken to hospital after falling ill.

The current Hull City manager complained of feeling unwell on Friday.

He was kept in hospital overnight for tests, and according to his club, the results have not revealed any problems and Pearson should be able to return to work on Monday.

In his absence, assistant manager Craig Shakespeare was put in charge of The Tigers' first team for today's match at Doncaster Rovers Hull City's statement said: "Following training on Friday, Nigel Pearson felt unwell and was admitted to hospital.

"All tests conducted so far have produced positive results and the club is hopeful that Nigel will be discharged later this evening and back with the team on Monday."

NP was very poorly treated by the club and I still can't believe Leicester let him go so easily- they haven't done well with Sousa.

I am suprised that he isn't managing in the premiership but with the flood of foreign managers at that level maybe I shouldn't be.
