AFC TOTTON know they cannot afford to take AFC Portchester lightly when the Sydenhams Premier Division outfit come calling in the Russell Cotes Cup quarter-final tonight (7.45pm).

The Stags, second-to-bottom of the Southern Premier Division, have already lost 3-1 to Graham Rix’s men in the Hampshire FA Senior Cup this season and know just what a dangerous animal they can be.

“Portchester may be two leagues lower than us, but they’ve already beaten us this season and they’ve got Graham Rix who’s got some really good knowledge to pass on,” said Riley, above.

Totton are set to give striker Nathaniel Sherborne another run-out tonight following his welcome return from long-term injury against St Neots Town on Saturday.

Porchester are currently eighth in the Sydenhams Premier with games in hand over those above them.

They edged a 1-0 win at Horndean on Saturday – Garry Moody bagging the winner.

Tonight’s victors will host Sholing’s conquerors Farnborough in the RCC semi-finals. Fareham Town must visit the winners of the delayed quarter-final between Christchurch and FA Trophy heroes Gosport Borough.
