LYMINGTON Town have infused their squad with a distinctly Totton flavour for next season.

Manager John Pyatt has signed forward Zac Mouland and midfielder Nathan Hurst on Wessex forms from the Stags and welcomed back ex-AFC Totton youth striker Jack Odam to The Sports Ground.

Odam, who went on to skipper Bashley after leaving Totton, dual-signed for Lymo from Gosport Borough early last season.

He banged in ten goals in 18 starts for the Sydenhams League club before moving on to Dorchester and Chippenham in the Southern Premier Division.

Chuffed with Odam's return to Southampton Road, Pyatt said: “He’s a great addition to the squad. Jack’s university work meant he couldn’t do the Southern Premier travelling and commitment any more.

“We’ve also brought in Zac Mouland as a striker. He fell out of love with football a bit when (manager) Steve Riley left Totton and didn’t play much for the last month or two of the season.

“Nathan Hurst is another good, young player and a good lad. I think the commitment to the Southern League got a bit much and he just wanted a change.”

Young right-back/midfielder Harrison Weeks, who impressed on a dual-signing last season, has linked up with Lymington on a permanent basis after parting company with parent club Eastleigh.

Fit-again left-back Ben Sullivan will be just like a new signing, having missed the bulk of last season injured, and Pyatt’s stepson Rob Vine will provide goalkeeping cover for Stuart Williamson having regained his appetite for football in the Bournemouth League last term.

Those arrivals offset the departures of forward James Davis, 25, and midfielder Jamie Bulpitt to Sholing and Sam Roberts to Steve Claridge’s Salisbury.

Pyatt said: “I was mindful that James Davis might leave and now Jamie Bulpitt’s decided to go, but it’s no problem. We’ve replaced James with younger stock and improving players.

“As for Sam Roberts, he was at Salisbury as a youth player and was travelling from Bulford (Wiltshire) to play for us.”

Pyatt has invited one or two other potential signings to pre-season training, including bright spark midfielder Matt Casey from Folland Sports.

“Matt’s got bundles of energy, he’s young and he’s a character. He’ll fit into our side a treat,” he smiled.
