TONY Lee made a dream start in an AFC Totton shirt tonight.

The young, on-loan Eastleigh striker scored a hat-trick on his debut as the Stags punished ten-man Bashley 7-2 in the Red Insure Cup.

Ex-Sholing winger Nick Watts matched Lee goal for goal, striking three times in ten second-half minutes. By then, beleaguered Bash were down to ten men having had goalkeeper Rob Gillett red-carded for handling outside the area just before half-time.

At that stage it was 2-2 with Lee twice erasing Bashley leads carved out by Will Lambert (penalty) and Warren Squibb.

But it was one-way traffic in the second half once Taylor Edwards had put Totton in front from a cross by Lee’s fellow Eastleigh loanee Jack Alexander.

To cap a miserable night for Bash, they lost sub ’keeper Ed Jenner to injury, leaving new defensive signing Toby Cuss from Brockenhurst to don the gloves.

Totton’s next RIC opponents are Winchester City at the Testwood Stadium on Tuesday, November 10.

Ex-Saint Jamie White was another on-song loanee, scoring twice as Poole Town roared top of the Evo-Stik Southern Premier with a 5-1 Dorset derby win at Dorchester.

White, signed on an initial month’s loan from Gosport Borough, joined Will Spetch, Michael Walker and Luke Roberts on the scoresheet.

Hampshire Premier League outfit Otterbourne were among the evening’s big Russell Cotes Cup winners, defeating Wessex One outfit New Milton 3-0 at Fawcett’s Field through Dan Strange, Tom Ashton and Tom Sands.

There was RCC joy too for Romsey Town who came back from behind with a Wayne Boud spot kick to draw 1-1 with Baffins Milton Rovers and then triumph 4-1 in a penalty shootout.

Elsewhere ex-Winchester forward Geoff Dunn was among the scorers as AFC Portchester overwhelmed Whitchurch United 5-1.

Folland Sports beat Newport IoW 3-1, Lymington Town (Nick Magee, Luke Ansell) saw off US Portsmouth 2-1, but Hythe & Dibden exited 3-1 at Cowes Sports.

The night’s sole Sydenhams Premier fixture saw managerless Horndean go second with a 5-1 win at Fareham Town.
