STEVE Hollick says he wouldn't dare change his AFC Totton squad for Saturday's Southern One South & West visit to Didcot Town.

After his side slammed seven goals past ten-man Bishops Cleeve last Saturday, the Testwood Stadium boss smiled: "I'd be foolish to think about changing it. I'd get lynched if I did!"

The emphatic 7-0 scoreline owed much to Hollick having his entire playing personnel available for the first time this season, writes Wendy Gee.

Physio Dave Penny has done such a good job getting Stags' injured troops back to fitness that Hollick has had the luxury of sending three players out to get games elsewhere.

Tony Rolls has gone to Brockenhurst, fellow defender Luke Dempsey has signed Wessex forms for Andover Town and striker Taylor Edwards has nipped next door to Sydenhams One outfit Totton & Eling.

"We've got a good relationship with all these clubs and they've taken the players off us to give them a run-out," Hollick explained.

"We'd had a few niggling, long-term injuries and Dave Penny's done an amazing job getting the squad fit again. He's an important member of our backroom staff and he helps lads from other clubs, like Brockenhurst and Team Solent, too."

Saturday's hosts Didcot flirted with fame earlier this season when they made the FA Cup first round proper for the first time in their history, eventually bowing out 3-0 at home to Exeter City.

But Jamie Heapy and Ian Concannon, the joint managers who inspired that run, left the Railwaymen last week and player Andy Ballard took his first game in caretaker charge last Saturday - a 1-1 home draw with Yate Town.

"One of Didcot's most influential players has taken over the managerial duties and they've got some good players like (ex-Saints and Stags winger) Josh Dutton-Black," said Hollick. "They're a strong side, but providing we do what we did last week, concentrate and defend properly, we will give them a game.

"We know Sherbs (Nathaniel Sherborne) will always work his socks off for the team and, apart from one blip against Mangotsfield, we've defended strongly in the last two games. Pat Wilson and James Roden are playing together at centre-back and doing well."
