Nathaniel Sherborne scored twice in eight early second half minutes to earn AFC Totton a deserved 2-0 win over Evo-Stik Southern League South & West title contenders Winchester City at the Testwood Stadium.
He opened Totton's account 11 minutes after the break, thumping a right-wing cross from Nick Watts past the impressive Brendon Norris, writes Mike Vimpany.
Eight minutes later he wrapped up the points, fastening on to a midfield pass from Mike Gosney to beat the advancing Norris to the ball and steering it home.
Winchester's best chance came early on when Adam Tomasso shot wide after a slick one-two move with Warren Bentley.
But they seldom threatened once Sherborne had notched his goal brace.
Bashley, meanwhile, suffered a 23rd successive defeat, losing 4-1 to Wimborne Town.
